WHY SEEK ACUPUNCTURE?
Acupuncture is a natural way to heal.
The human body is made up of your mind, body, and spirit. When all three are working together, there is a free flow of energy within our bodies, which is optimal. Acupuncture is wonderful for facilitating this!
Acupuncture is an effective form of medical care that is based on thousands of years of research, theory, practice, and is known for it's varying positive effects for people, physically, mentally, and spiritually.
People seek acupuncture for a variety of reasons including: fatigue, stress, pain, mental health, Postpartum Depression, insufficient lactation, digestive health, general health and wellbeing, anxiety, neuropathy, inflammation, headaches, and PTSD, just to name a few.
Treatments involve the gentle insertion of very thin needles (approximately a hair's width) as well as other modalities such as cupping and moxibustion.
Each treatment is individually tailored to your specific needs and goals at that time.
The number of treatments you will need is specific to your history and goals. General recommendation is 6-8 weekly treatments and then future frequency will be discussed as you progress.
Insurance is not accepted, however, a receipt will be provided, for you to submit to your insurance company, upon request.
Call or email to schedule your appointment or to ask any further questions you may have.
Heal Your Body
What are treatments like?
Your first session is approximately 1.5hrs-2hrs in length and consists of a discussion that includes a thorough patient history which allows me to understand your particular situation and how to best help you meet your desired goals. The initial session will end with a treatment. This treatment is designed to clear blockages allowing energy to flow more freely, you to feel light and clear, and prepares you for future treatments. Most people ask the question "Does acupuncture hurt? The short answer is no and this is due to the use of very thin needles, approximately a hair's width thin, and they are inserted gently and painlessly.
Follow-up sessions are about 45 minutes to 1 hour and consist of a conversation regarding how you felt after your last treatment, goals that you would like to work on moving forward, and a treatment.
Happiness is not determined by what's happening around you, but rather by what is happening inside you. Most people depend on others to gain happiness, but the truth is, it comes from within. ~John Spence
